Description: Early Head Start (EHS) program in Montgomery County seeks a director for a licensed child development center. Supervise classroom teachers as they promote optimal child development and ensure health and safety. Responsible for coordinating Maryland Office of Child Care regulations as well as Head Start Performance Standards.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related child development field required; Master's degree preferred. Minimim of 3 semester hours of approved training in care of infants and toddlers. Previous supervisory experience in a child care or human services program, and two years of experience working under supervision in a licensed facility with children ages 0-3. Working knowledge of developmental curriculum and MSDE licensing regulations. Good written and oral communications skills, fluency in Spanish preferred.
